Join Our Team
Cafe Manager
Location: Northgate Community Centre, CT1 1YX
Hours: approx 20 per week
Pay rate: dependant on experience

We’re looking for a creative and people focused Café Manager who will not only keep the café running smoothly, but also work closely with the Centre Managers to rebrand, refresh, and relaunch the café as a destination for both existing visitors and new customers from the wider community.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity to blend day-to-today café management with creative development of the café. You’ll collaborate with the Centre Managers to design a new identity for the café, develop an appealing menu, and create marketing plans that bring more people through the doors.
Your responsibilities will include:

Work with the Centre Managers to shape the café’s image, style, and atmosphere in line with the centre’s vision.

Create and test new dishes and drinks that appeal to our community, while keeping costs manageable and quality high.

Collaborate on campaigns, social media, and events to raise the café’s profile and attract a wider audience.

Prepare and serve food and drinks, maintaining hygiene standards, ordering stock, and ensuring smooth service.

Build strong relationships with customers, groups, and local residents to make the café a welcoming space for all.

Working with the Centre Managers to monitor sales, set targets, and ensure the café runs sustainably.
